Job summary

Alternative Heat Ltd in Dundalk, Co. Louth is seeking an Assembly Operative to join our Fabrication & Assembly team. The role involves assembling metal framework components and large piping systems on-site in our dedicated facility, with a Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm schedule.

You will perform cutting, wrapping and packaging tasks, assist with material coordination, and support mechanical pipe fitters and leads, ensuring quality de-snagging and paint touch-ups as required.

The Fabrication & Assembly department is responsible for the off-site manufacturing of bespoke mechanical and electrical systems, including prefabricated plant rooms, skids, and modular assemblies. Operating from our dedicated assembly facility, the team ensures high-quality workmanship, precision, and compliance with project specifications. By delivering preassembled solutions, the department helps reduce installation time, improve safety on-site, and maintain consistent quality — all while supporting efficient project delivery and innovation in modular construction.
