Barry Group seeks an experienced Articulated Truck Driver to join our Transport Team. You will carry out timely, safe deliveries to retail and wholesale customers across Ireland, operating articulated vehicles to schedule while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Daily vehicle checks, load securing, accurate paperwork and strong customer service are essential. This full-time role offers a reliable work pattern with early starts and varied shifts, supported by a modern fleet and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Must hold a full CE (Artic) driving licence.
• CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) valid.
• Digital Tachograph Card valid.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Knowledge of Irish road networks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight schedules.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible hours; early starts and variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries to retail and wholesale customers on scheduled routes.
• Safely operate articulated vehicles in line with laws and company policies.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks (pre/post trip) and report defects.
• Load and unload goods and secure loads.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented with PODs.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all points of delivery.
• Adhere to driver hours, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directive.
• Work with transport office to manage delivery issues or delays.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including tail lifts and manual handling.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Articulated Truck Driver to join our Transport Team. Barry Group are offering attractive new pay rates.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries to our customer base.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out deliveries to retail and wholesale customers in line with scheduled routes
• Safely operate articulated vehicles in compliance with road traffic laws and company policies
• Conduct daily vehicle checks (pre and post trip inspections) and report any defects
• Load and unload goods where required, ensuring correct handling and securing of loads
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, with correct paperwork and PODs (Proof of Delivery)
• Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery points
• Adhere to EU driver hours, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directive requirements
• Work closely with the transport office to manage any delivery issues or delays
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including safe use of tail lifts and manual handling practices

Requirements

• Full Clean CE (Artic) Driving Licence
• Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery environment (preferred)
• Good knowledge of Irish road networks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight schedules
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach to working hours (early starts / variable shifts as required)
