Job summary

Barry Group is seeking an experienced Articulated Truck Driver to join our Transport Team in Ireland. You will deliver to retail and wholesale customers on scheduled routes, safely operate articulated vehicles and perform pre- and post-trip checks.

The role requires a CE license, CPC, tachograph card, and multi-drop delivery experience with a strong focus on accuracy, customer service, and adherence to working time regulations. Early starts and flexible shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Full Clean CE (Artic) Driving Licence
• Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery environment (preferred)
• Good knowledge of Irish road networks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight schedules
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach to working hours (early starts / variable shifts as required)

Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries to retail and wholesale customers on scheduled routes
• Safely operate articulated vehicles in compliance with road laws and company policies
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report defects
• Load and unload goods, secure loads and complete correct paperwork
• Ensure deliveries are accurate with PODs and paperwork
• Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery points
• Adhere to driver hours, tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive
• Collaborate with transport office to resolve delays or issues
• Follow health and safety procedures including tail lifts and manual handling

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Articulated Truck Driver to join our Transport Team. Barry Group are offering attractive new pay rates.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries to our customer base.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out deliveries to retail and wholesale customers in line with scheduled routes

• Safely operate articulated vehicles in compliance with road traffic laws and company policies

• Conduct daily vehicle checks (pre and post trip inspections) and report any defects

• Load and unload goods where required, ensuring correct handling and securing of loads

• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, with correct paperwork and PODs (Proof of Delivery)

• Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery points

• Adhere to EU driver hours, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directive requirements

• Work closely with the transport office to manage any delivery issues or delays

• Follow all health & safety procedures, including safe use of tail lifts and manual handling practices
