Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, valid Category CE licence for articulated HGVs.

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and road safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and follow delivery schedules.
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays away from base when required.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and willingness to work on-site in Athenry.

Role Description:

Kevin Burke Tyres is seeking a full-time, permanent HGV Artic Driver to operate articulated heavy goods vehicles on multi-drop distribution routes, with occasional overnight stays required.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operating vehicles, performing routine vehicle checks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant transport and safety regulations.
• The driver will load and unload goods, secure cargo, maintain delivery documentation, and follow scheduled routes and delivery times.
• The role also involves communicating with the logistics team, representing the company professionally at all delivery locations, and reporting any vehicle or delivery issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Full, valid Category CE driving licence (or equivalent recognised qualification for articulated HGVs).
• Candidates should possess strong truck operation and driving skills, including experience with articulated trucks.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT Regulations and road safety standards, ensuring compliant and safe transport at all times.
• Ability to follow delivery schedules, work independently, and communicate clearly with dispatch and customers.
• Must be available and flexible to undertake routes that occasionally require overnight stays away from base.
