Job summary

Fáilte Ireland in Athlone is seeking a professional Artic Driver to join the team. You will be responsible for safe collection and delivery of oil products to depots across the country on a rolling shift.

The role is based in Athlone with Dublin terminal loading; typically one to two loads per shift. Permanent contract with a salary of €51,000-€54,000 per year, DOE.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence (Artic) with ADR certification essential.
• CPC and Tachograph card holders required.
• Previous artic driving experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and deliver oil products per the daily schedule.
• Communicate schedule updates with Operations Director/Transport Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and inform customers of delays.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a professional Artic Driver to join their team in Athlone. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of oil products to and from oil depots, while working a rolling shift pattern.

The role is based in Athlone, with product loaded at the Dublin terminal. Drivers will typically complete one to two loads per shift, delivering to various locations across the country.

Key duties:

• Safely collect and deliver oil products as per the daily schedule.
• Communicate with the Operations Director and/or Transport Manager regarding schedule updates.
• Provide excellent customer service and keep customers informed of potential delays.
• Keep company vehicles clean and roadworthy and report defects immediately.
• Report accidents, incidents, and property damage to management without delay.
• Always wear the correct uniform and safety gear.
• Work additional hours when required and support other operational areas during peak periods and holiday cover.
• Ensure work-related phone calls are redirected when on leave or absent.

Essential criteria:

• Valid HGV Licence (Artic) with ADR certification (HazChem Qualification essential).
• CPC and Tachograph card
• Previous artic driving experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and reliability
