Job summary

Nature's Best Ltd. in Drogheda is seeking an Area Production Manager to lead the production shift team, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient output of fresh salads and vegetables in a fast-paced facility.

This hands-on, development-focused role offers full-time permanent employment, with training provided and the chance to influence day-to-day operations across Maintenance, Quality and HR.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage.
• Supervisory or management experience is beneficial but not essential; training provided.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing your production shift team to hit safety, quality, and output targets
• Planning and prioritising production activities to meet day-to-day demands
• Ensuring GMP compliance, SOPs, and internal policies across your area
• Bringing a proactive, problem-solving approach on the floor

We're now looking for an Area Production Manager to join our Production Department and help lead the team that keeps Ireland's fridges stocked with fresh, quality produce every single day. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, hands‑on leader to take ownership of a key area of our production floor, develop their management career, and make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Greenvale Park, Donore Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth
Reporting to: Production Manager

What you'll be doing:

• Leading, motivating, and developing your production shift team to consistently hit safety, quality, and output targets
• Planning and prioritising production activities to meet the day-to-day demands of a busy, fast-moving operation
• Ensuring full compliance with GMP regulations, SOPs, and internal company policies across your area
• Bringing a proactive, can-do approach to problem‑solving on the floor
• Working closely with other departments — Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources — to keep everything running smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to bring people with you
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; business-level English is required
• Full flexibility to work any shift pattern, including nights and weekends, in line with our 24/7 operation
