Job summary

Portmarnock Sport & Leisure Centre is seeking a Pool Supervisor (Fixed-Term) to oversee daily aquatic operations and lead Swim Teachers and Lifeguards. The role combines staff management, programme coordination and customer service, with a strong emphasis on safety and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will manage swim lesson programmes, maintain records, and work with staff and stakeholders to ensure high teaching standards and smooth delivery of all activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification and experience in a supervisor role.
• Relevant Swimming Teaching qualification.
• Pool Lifeguard Qualification desired but not essential.
• First Aid Qualification desired but not essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead Swim Teachers and Lifeguards, manage staffing and rosters.
• Coordinate swim lesson programmes and class schedules.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and operational standards of the pool.
• Administer programme records and liaise with staff and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to team members.
