Job summary

Swim Ireland is seeking a Duty Manager for Sean McDermott Street Pool in Dublin 1. The role reports to the Pool Operations Manager and oversees on-site staff, bookings and customer service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the facility, supervising reception, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and maintaining equipment and facilities. Candidates should have supervisory experience and Level 2 Swimming Teacher and Lifeguard qualifications; Garda Vetting will be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience of managing / coordinating a team.
• Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification and Pool Lifeguard Qualification are preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Arrange the daily opening and closing of Sean McDermott Street Pool.
• Supervise the reception area and bookings; manage on-site staff.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Provide information about facilities, classes and events.
• Promote high standards of customer service and handle enquiries.
• Oversee pool operations including chlorination, filtration, ventilation and heating.
• Represent the Pool Operations Manager as required and oversee staff on site.
