Job summary

Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are offering a full time apprenticeship to 6 candidates who are looking to start a career in metal fabrication. This programme is carried out by Cross themselves along with SOLAS (official training body).

The apprenticeship spans four years with on-the-job and off-the-job phases, leading to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Metal Fabrication upon successful completion. Training is provided, with ETB wages and a training allowance.

Qualifications

• Junior Certificate must be completed.
• Leaving Certificate is a bonus.
• Junior or Leaving Certificate Engineering, Tech Drawing, Woodwork, Physics, Phys/Chem are a bonus.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• No experience required (training provided).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings is a bonus.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Past engineering experience is a bonus.
