Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking an Apprentice on site to support the installation and testing of HV/MV switchgear and related equipment across Ireland. You will work within a safety-conscious team, gaining hands-on experience on mechanical and electrical systems alongside mentors on large-scale projects.

Applicants should have Leaving Certificate Maths (O5) and Safe Pass plus Manual Handling certifications; a positive attitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum O5 in Leaving Certificate Maths.
• Up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling Training Certifications.
• Interest in Mechanical or Electrical systems.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude. Good work ethic and solutions focused.
• Appreciate the importance of adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install HV/MV switchgear and equipment.
• Install GIS (Gas insulated switchgear).
• Install AIS (Air insulated switchgear).
• Transformer assembly and installation.
• Transformer testing.
• Install Air insulated switchgear steel work.
• Testing and commissioning of HV/MV equipment.
• Install filter banks.
• Install synchronous condensers.

Suir Engineering Apprentice Induction:

Prior to an Apprentice starting on site with Suir Engineering you are required to complete a 4-day induction in our Training Centre in City West, Co. Dublin.
