Job summary

AbbVie in Sligo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the API Engineering team and uphold safe, compliant manufacturing operations at the Manorhamilton Road site. You will set goals, plan activities, and collaborate with operations to ensure reliable equipment and processes in a highly regulated environment.

You will develop CAPA, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and CAPEX, prepare management reports, and support internal and external audits while building strong relationships

Qualifications

• 7–10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including至少 two years in a supervisory/management role.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop people.
• Experience with API manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Experience leading engineering activities that support manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, maintenance, projects or continuous improvement.
• Experience with solvent handling, chemical processing, hazardous materials or complex process systems.
• Strong problem-solving and timely engineering decisions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk assessment and compliance in chemical environments.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
