Job summary
Amazon Ireland is seeking a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented technical writer to join a small team redefining API content for the Selling Partner API. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, Solutions Architects, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to deliver high-quality documentation and advocate for the needs of developers.
The role involves alternating between content creation and editing, applying AI tooling to improve efficiency and quality, and contributing to process
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a technical writing role.
- Experience working directly with engineers and subject matter experts.
- Experience using and following a style guide.
Responsibilities
- Develop documentation for Selling Partner API through collaboration with SMEs.
- Alternate between content creation and editing tasks for a variety of technical content assets.
- Author content according to a style guide and identify necessary style guide updates and improvements.
- Manage a weekly work queue of documentation requests.
- Proactively identify needed process improvements, documentation design improvements, and roadblocks to content development, and collaborate with teammates to design solutions.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI tooling to improve documentation efficiency and quality, and work with the team to implement them.
- Advocate for improvements to the developer experience and documentation quality standards.
- Identify and appropriately escalate issues needing escalation.
