Job summary

Taoglas Limited in Ireland is seeking an experienced RF/antenna engineer to design and test antennas and RF circuitry for wireless products. You will work on passive and active antennas from 100 MHz to 8 GHz and coordinate with R&D, production and sales teams.

You should have a strong background in EM simulation (CST/HFSS), ADS and Altium, hands-on lab experience with VNA and spectrum analyzers, and a good grasp of wireless standards. Fluent English and willingness to travel are expected.

Qualifications

B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical/Electronics and Communication.
3–5 years of experience in antenna/RF industry.
Hands-on experience with CST/HFSS, ADS and Altium.
Experience using VNA, spectrum analyzer and call box.
Knowledge of CDMA, GSM/GPRS, UMTS, LTE, 5G, WIFI, GPS, GNSS and related standards.

Responsibilities

Design and develop antennas mainly from 100MHz to 8GHz.
Design Active RF Circuits, Integration of LNA, Filter, antenna and other components.
Optimize the Performance of the antenna and other RF components for various IoT devices.
Work with VNA's, Far Field anechoic chamber, spectrum analyzer and other RF equipment.
Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Management, Production, Mechanical, Noise Control departments.
Assist in certification issues on wireless devices with customers.
Suggest improved PCB layouts to improve RF performance.
Coordinate projects from initial customer meetings to pilot production runs, including QC documentation and test standards.
