Job summary

SumUp in Dublin (office-first) seeks an AML Data Analyst to turn data into actionable insights for AML Operations and Governance. You’ll help monitor controls, identify risks, and drive improvements as the business scales.

You’ll build dashboards, validate data across regions, collaborate with Engineering, and enable self-service analytics for AML teams, strengthening our global AML framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics, BI or similar in financial services, fintech, or AML.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and reliable datasets.
• Experience with Python for data analysis/automation.
• Ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations for leaders.
• Experience with data quality and multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AML dashboards and reports for senior leaders.
• Design measurement frameworks for AML KPIs and hit rates.
• Provide data extracts, analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Run data validation to ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Support screening data analysis and automation projects.
• Partner with Engineering to define data requirements and enable self-service analytics.
