Tata Consultancy Services in Ireland is hiring a Python AI/ML developer on a fixed-term 6-month contract to build and test Generative AI solutions for a UK higher education client. You will work with senior engineers in an Agile team, expanding cloud, data and software skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in Python, ML and prompt engineering, with exposure to Azure and LLМ-based app development.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong foundations in ML and Generative AI; prompt engineering.
• Experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch and data preprocessing.
• Understanding of REST APIs, Git, unit testing and debugging.
• Analytical, communicative, and teamwork skills in Agile teams.
• Cloud exposure (Azure or equivalent) and LLМ-based app development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based AI/ML components.
• Support data cleansing, preparation, feature engineering and validation.
• Build and test ML models, prompts, AI workflows and API integrations.
• Execute unit tests, document results, fix defects and code reviews.
• Support deployments, monitoring and production activities with documentation.
