Job summary

Flutter is seeking a Head of Security Operations & Engineering to lead the design, build and operation of scalable security capabilities across our UK and Ireland footprint. You will guide SOC, incident response, threat intel, and tooling automation, partnering with Engineering and Risk teams to reduce MTTR and improve detection.

The role blends strategy with practical leadership, requiring cloud security expertise, DevSecOps practices, and a data-driven mindset to advance an AI-enabled security

Qualifications

• Experience leading Security Operations Centres (SOC) and cross-functional security teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud security platforms and security automation.
• Proven ability to drive incident response, detection engineering, and tooling improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Security Operations and Engineering teams securing global services.
• Set and execute Cloud Security Strategy with Technology Ops leadership.
• Collaborate with vendors (AWS, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Splunk) to maximize value from partnerships.
• Drive AI-enabled detection and response improvements.
• Mentor teams to manage incidents confidently and securely.
