Job summary

Connolly's RED MILLS is recruiting an AGRI RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT for its Goresbridge shop. The role suits someone with experience in Agri, Equine or Pet retail and a passion for customer service. You will assist customers, restock, manage till, and support daily shop operations.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years counter sales experience, excellent communication, and a genuine interest in agriculture and animal nutrition. A Leaving Certificate and Agri-related certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer focus and service orientation.
• Interest in agricultural industry including animal health nutrition.
• Ability to prioritise and work independently.
• 1-2 years counter sales experience advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice & support to customers on a wide variety of products.
• Restock display areas to ensure product availability at all times.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness including shop floor, stores and display areas.
• Handling of cheques, cash and balancing the till at the end of each day.
• Ensure the smooth day to day running of the retail outlet.
• Adhere to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.
• Participate in regular stocktakes and stock counts which will involve physically checking that units are in stock.
• Product coding, pricing and updating of prices on goods for sale.
