Job summary

emagine, a health insurance client, is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to join the IT Solution Delivery Team in Cork on a hybrid basis. You will lead, guide and coach delivery teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions aligned with evolving business needs.

You will champion Agile principles, foster collaboration, manage scope, schedules, and budgets, and engage stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading delivery teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall.
• Proven track record delivering valuable outcomes.
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and flexible with change.
• Experience managing vendor contracts.
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and coach delivery teams in adopting Agile principles and best practices.
• Define and manage project scope, objectives and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain adaptive project plans, sprint schedules and backlogs; adjust priorities.
• Manage budgets, estimates, resources and delivery timelines to maximise value.
• Promote quality through reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
• Foster high-performing teams with coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and defects; enable timely resolution.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies to support alignment and improvement.

Due to continued growth, we are hiring an Agile Project Manager to join the IT Solution Delivery Team with our client in the health insurance industry, hybrid in Cork. The role is responsible for leading, guiding and coaching delivery teams to deliver high-quality, value-driven technology solutions aligned with evolving business needs.

The successful candidate will champion Agile principles, foster collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensure effective delivery through adaptive planning, stakeholder engagement and strong team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and coach delivery teams in the adoption of Agile principles, methodologies and best practices.
• Define and manage project scope, objectives and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Develop and maintain adaptive project plans, sprint schedules and backlogs, monitoring progress and adjusting priorities as required.
• Manage project budgets, estimates, resources and delivery timelines to maximise business value and maintain cost control.
• Promote quality throughout the delivery lifecycle through regular reviews, testing, validation and continuous improvement.
• Foster high-performing, collaborative teams through effective leadership, coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Establish transparent communication channels and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors.
• Proactively identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and defects, facilitating timely resolution.
• Manage vendor relationships, contribute to Agile procurement activities, and review Statements of Work and specifications.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, to support alignment and continuous improvement.
• Monitor team performance and delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve processes, products and ways of working.
• Ensure technology delivery remains aligned with business objectives, operational requirements and relevant technical standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Agile methodologies, emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Education

• Relevant third level qualification is required
• Agile qualification (Agile Certification, SCRUM, SAFe) is required
• PMP or PRINCE2 accreditation is desired, PMP preferred
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (or similar) is required
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required

Requirements
