Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Coordinator for Dangan National School in Meath. The role involves leading and coordinating a team, maintaining daily activities, and engaging with children and families from 7:50am to 8:50am and 1:25pm to 6:00pm, with additional admin time weekly.

A childcare qualification (Fetac Level 5 or equivalent) and fluent English are required, as is a valid Garda vetting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year; 2 years preferred).
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team in a childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and reliable with a caring approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily after-school activities and programme delivery.
• Coordinate and supervise staff while ensuring safety and engagement of children.
• Interact with children, families and school staff on a daily basis.
• Maintain administrative tasks and support programme operations as needed.
