Sherpa Kids is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Scoil Chaomhin Dublin 1. The role is part-time, operating on-site at a school, with hours from 2:40 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Garda vetting is required after interview, and two written references are needed before starting. Responsibilities include supervising activities, homework help, and delivering a safe, engaging environment for school-aged children, with a preference for knowledge of Irish.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Willing to learn basic Irish to support communication within the service.
• Garda vetting is essential and references required before starting.

Responsabilités

• Supervise children during activities and free play.

Job Description

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Knowledge of Irish language preferable
• Assistwith homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assistwith games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiencyin English, both verbal and written
• Willing to learn basic Irish to support communication within the service.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks arerequiredbefore starting
• Monday to Friday from 2.40pm to 6.00pm
• HHQ 8.30-5.30
• Knowledge of Irish language preferable
