Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District seeks a Community Education Before/After School Assistant to supervise children in the program and during school breaks. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, following licensing standards, and supporting program goals.

The role operates 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, under the Community Education Director. Candidates should be reliable, with a background in childcare and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a teacher/caregiver aide for 12 months; OR volunteer in a child care facility for 12 months or enrollment in a vocational training program.
• Must pass a background clearance.
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Excellent attendance record.
• CPR/First Aid certified.
• Enjoys working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support QCUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Monitor and assist children to ensure safety in before/after care and camps.
• Maintain environment per childcare licensing requirements.
• Be a team player and work well with peers.
• Work with children of various ages while maintaining confidentiality.
• Set up rooms for activities and clean up after activities.
• Learn assigned plans and prepare before children arrive.
• Operate and care for program equipment.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Interact positively with parents/guardians.
• Perform other job-related duties to advance district priorities.
