Job summary

Stryker Ireland is seeking high-potential graduates to join the AO Global Engineering Development Programme, a 20-month rotational career starter beginning September 2027. You will work across manufacturing, additive manufacturing, robotics and product development while developing core engineering competencies.

The programme focuses on hands-on experience, cross-functional collaboration and fast-paced project delivery within a global Stryker environment.

Qualifications

• Must have or be on track for a 2.1 Level 8+ degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Biomedical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Software/ Digital/BIS/Project Management.
• Self-starter with efficient work methods, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented team environment.
• Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with global teams.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design.

Responsibilities

• Participation in various project teams across rotations.
• Work with design teams to develop innovative product concepts.
• Investigate, design, develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technology.
• Handover of new processes from development to production.
• Support quality systems and collaborate with Design, QA and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Provide process validation support internally and with vendors.
• Develop and qualify new testing equipment and methods.
• Research, specify and qualify new test or prototyping equipment.
• Attend trainings to develop skills and toolkit.

Stryker Advanced Operations (AO) Global Engineering Development Programme (AOGEDP) – to begin in September 2027.

If you are an upcoming or recent graduate in a Level 8 or above Engineering, Software or Digital discipline-based Degree, then this is the opportunity for you!

Advanced Operations (AO) is Stryker’s function that specialises in new product introductions across all of our divisions. The “AO Global Engineering Development Programme” is a 20-month structured programme that provides participants the opportunity to be part of a global team, with exposure to cutting edge technology varying from traditional manufacturing processes to a additive manufacturing and Robotics, as well as interactions with market leading Product Development, Quality Assurance and Operations teams from across the 9 Stryker divisions. The programme focuses on developing the skillset s, mindset and toolkit of each participant to enable them for success within Advanced Operations to support our wider business to be successful.

During each rotational assignment participants will be responsible for:

• Participating in various project teams.
• Work with a highly creative design team to invent and develop innovative new product concepts.
• Investigation, design, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
• Handover of new processes from development to production.
• Implement quality systems and work closely with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.

What You Need?

• Candidates must have already attained or be on course to attain a 2.1 result in a Level 8 or above Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Biomedical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Software/ Digital / BIS/ Project Management Discipline-Based Degree.
• Candidates must have/will have attained the above between June 20 25 and Sept 2027.
• Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic and results orientated team environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and with global teams.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.

Ireland: €44,000 EUR Annual
