Job summary

Raigmore Hospital in Inverness is recruiting for Band 4 Assistant Practitioners to join the Acute Adult ANP/ACP Service. The role involves supporting both medical and nursing staff across multiple specialties, with opportunities to develop within a busy hospital setting.

Applicants should have a healthcare qualification at SCQF level 7-8, English proficiency, and recent acute hospital experience. The post includes responsibilities for clinical and non-clinical tasks, with potential out-of-hours

Qualifications

• Qualification in Healthcare at SCQF level 7-8 or above (e.g., HNC/D, PDA Level 8).
• Minimum of three National Qualifications including English Standard Grade or equivalent.
• Good communication skills and strong written and spoken English.
• Recent acute hospital experience within the past 2 years.
• Evidence of completion of Mandatory Induction Standards or equivalent if outside NHS Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support to Medical and Nursing staff.
• Carry out minor procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation, catheterisation.
• Assist with medical procedures and emergency response teams.
• Work hours may include days, evenings and weekends.
