Eden Social Care is seeking an Accommodation & Laundry Assistant for a brand-new, state-of-the-art nursing home in North Dublin. You will contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and support daily housekeeping and laundry tasks.

The role requires pride in high standards, teamwork, and a caring approach to older people, with training available and opportunities for development.

Competenze

• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control.
• Good health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high standards.

Mansioni

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursing home.
• Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and designated facilities in accordance with established cleaning schedules.
• Ensure residents' rooms and shared spaces are comfortable, tidy and welcoming.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and all relevant health and safety guidelines.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns or any damage to equipment or facilities.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, personal belongings and individual preferences.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and replenished as required.
• Collect, sort and process residents' personal laundry and nursing home linen.
• Operate washing machines, dryers and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure laundry is washed, dried, ironed and folded to a high standard.
• Return residents' personal clothing and linen promptly and ensure items are correctly identified.
• Maintain high standards of laundry hygiene and infection control.
• Ensure clean and soiled laundry are handled and stored separately.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe laundry environment.

Salary:

From €14.15 per hour, negotiable DOE

Key Responsibilities

Accommodation / Housekeeping

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursing home.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or a similar role is desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry practices and infection prevention and control is an advantage.
• Good understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Ability to organise workload and manage time effectively.
• Friendly, approachable and respectful manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to use initiative.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring and compassionate attitude towards older people, with an understanding of the importance of dignity, privacy and respect.
