Academic Unit Review Leads x6 (Confined SETU Competition - Specified Purpose)

This is a confined competition open to SETU staff members. Applicants who are not currently employed at SETU are ineligible to apply.

• Salary: The gross salary scale applicable to the post is €97,917 - €125,890 per annum (rates effective 01.06.2026).

South East Technological University (SETU) is Ireland’s newest TU, designated in May 2022. The university has designed an organisational change programme that will support elevated performance in the delivery of educational programmes, in research and innovation, in mobilising regional alliances, and in building institutional capacity, resilience and sustainability. The Office of the Vice President Academic Affairs, Teaching and Learning plays a critical leadership role in the delivery of the change programme, with assessment enhancement and capacity building an important part of this.

AUR (Academic Unit Review) leads are Technological Enhancement Fund (TEF) posts, one for each faculty within the University, to support faculties in the development, production and review stages of the Academic Review Process (AUR). The roles are extensions of the successful work of the ROaD project and draw from the outputs of that academic integration project as a baseline.

Supporting the Heads of Faculties and Heads of Departments, they will enhance the review capacity of the faculty and assist in building a new strategically embedded academic portfolio across all of the activities of the faculty.

The roles will also provide a coordinating university framework for ensuring appropriate university policies and strategic objectives are adequately addressed in the review processes.
