Job summary

Principle HR is recruiting for an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a large-scale 24/7 data centre environment in Clonee, Co. Meath.

The role covers electrical, mechanical and controls systems in a hands-on capacity, with rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and weekend work. The position requires strong hands-on maintenance engineering experience in critical facilities, with 5+ years typically expected and a background in electrical/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

Hands-on maintenance engineering experience in critical environments.
Experience with electrical, mechanical/HVAC and/or controls systems.
Experience in a data centre, pharmaceutical, utility or similar continuous-process setting.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
Trade background or relevant engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain HV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling and HVAC systems.
Monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot faults and respond to alarms.
Deliver preventive and corrective maintenance.
Complete work orders using CMMS/Hexagon.
Support LOTO/COHE, isolation and permit-to-work procedures.
Supervise vendors and contractors during maintenance.
Carry out equipment inspections and identify issues early.
