Job summary
Principle is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a large-scale, 24/7 data centre environment in Clonee, Co. Meath. This hands-on role covers electrical, mechanical and controls systems while supporting operations in a critical facility.
You will operate HV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling and HVAC, monitor BMS/EPMS, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and manage vendor activity within rotating 12-hour shifts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance engineering experience.
- Experience across electrical, mechanical/HVAC and control systems.
- Experience in a critical or continuous-process environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
- Trade background or relevant engineering qualification.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain HV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling and HVAC systems
- Monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot faults and respond to alarms
- Deliver preventive and corrective maintenance
- Complete work orders using CMMS/Hexagon
- Support LOTO/COHE, isolation and permit-to-work
- Supervise vendors and contractors during maintenance
- Carry out equipment inspections and identify potential issues early
