Job summary

Primark is seeking a 3D Fit Trainee in Dublin to develop skills across garment fit, pattern development, and digital product creation. You’ll support the Global Block Library, ensure measurement standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams using 3D tools like CLO3D.

You'll gain experience in 3D fashion technologies, pattern cutting, and garment construction, while contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Pattern Cutting, or a related discipline, with a strong interest in garment fit, pattern development, and digital product creation.
• Basic understanding of garment construction, fit principles, grading, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to pattern-cutting software, CAD systems, or digital product development tools through education, placements, or previous experience.
• Keen interest in 3D fashion technologies, such as CLO3D, Browzwear, or similar platforms, with a willingness to develop expertise in virtual fitting and digital product creation.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams) and the ability to work closely with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance, development, and governance of the Global Block Library, ensuring block standards, grade rules, and documentation are accurate, consistent, and up to date across all apparel categories.
• Assist with fit activities and product development processes, helping to maintain garment measurement standards and fit consistency across Ladieswear, Menswear, and Childrenswear.
• Support the preparation and delivery of virtual fit sessions using CLO3D and other digital tools, contributing to the adoption of 3D fitting technologies across the business.
• Collaborate with Buying, Design, Technical, Quality, and supplier teams to promote best practice in fit, pattern, grading, and digital product creation.
• Maintain organised digital records, fit documentation, training materials, and library files, ensuring information is easily accessible and effectively managed.
• Continuously develop technical expertise in garment construction, pattern cutting, grading, fit standards, and 3D technology, while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
