Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway invites applications for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Midpark Hospital – Nithsdale Ward. This fixed-term post ends 27/03/2027.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, patient-centered care and contribute to practice developments. Applicants should have RMN registration, strong assessment and communication skills, and a sound knowledge of mental health legislation and risk assessment.

We are in the position to recruit an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our nursing team within Midpark Hospital - Nithsdale Ward.

This is a fixed term post ending 27/03/2027.

As a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe effective, patient centred care.

The post holder will possess excellent assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of mental health assessment and risk assessment as well as knowledge of mental health legislation. The post holder will help drive local and national practice developments and demonstrate a commitment to providing a positive experience for those persons who require Inpatient care.
