Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking Hardware Engineer Interns for Spring/Summer 2027 in Dublin. This paid, in-person internship on the Voyager Hardware team involves designing electronics, PCB work, and low-level firmware development for rugged edge solutions.

You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver prototypes, test hardware, and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, maths, or science.
• Must be returning to University for at least one academic year.
• Ability to complete an in-person internship in our Dublin office.

Responsibilities

• Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection and PCB design.
• Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software tools.
• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver functional products.
• Support development for multiple projects at various stages.

We are seeking Hardware Engineer Interns for Spring/Summer 2027! This is a paid, in-person, internship. The Voyager team at Anduril Industries is an engineering and design division with vast experience in developing innovative computing and communications solutions for the network edge. We specialise in integrating enterprise networking and capabilities from global IT leaders with purpose-built hardware and software platforms designed to meet the most stringent environmental requirements. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection,
• PCB design, and system level integration.
• Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, and supporting development & testing tools.
• Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
• Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
• Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, maths, or science.
• Must be returning to University at the end of the internship to continue studies for at least one academic year.
• Ability to complete an in-person internship in our Dublin office.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and common languages (Python, Rust, Haskell, etc.)

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
