Job summary

Huawei Ireland Research Centre (IRC) is seeking an experienced HR professional to drive recruitment and people operations in a multicultural Irish setting. You will translate HR strategy into practice, lead end-to-end recruitment, and support international staff through relocation and compliance.

The role requires fluency in English and Chinese, knowledge of Belgian work-permit processes, and a Bachelor’s degree in HR/BA/Psychology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related fields.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in international environments.
  • Strong sourcing and mapping of talent, with knowledge of Belgian employment practices.
  • Experience with work permit/visa processes in Belgium.
  • Fluent English and Chinese; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the HR strategy and help the business team to provide the best Human Resource practice from strategy to execution.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process end to end, attract talents for business team.
  • Support expats with work permit, visa, tax and residence-related processes in Belgium. Provide guidance to employees regarding relocation and administrative procedures.
  • Develop and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation management, employee changes and offboarding processes.
  • Participate in HR projects related to improve HR processes and operational efficiency.
  • Support other HR initiatives as required.

About the IRC

Huawei Ireland Research Centre (IRC) mission is to position Huawei as a recognized technology leader and a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions. To achieve this we are building an industry-recognized multi-discipline Research Centre of experts with focus on medium-term to long-term issues. The IRC will work closely with an open innovative ecosystem with Huawei customers to address real-world issues. The IRC will also engage with key European universities to build a basic research capability to support Huawei technical projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related fields.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Strong talent sourcing and mapping skills, good understanding of Belgian employment practices.
  • Experience with work permit / visa processes in Belgium is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluent English and Chinese are required, Dutch is a plus.
