Job summary

Buffalo Tungsten Inc. is hiring a Welder for the Timika, Indonesia workshop. The role focuses on performing welding per approved processes, interpreting drawings, and delivering high-quality fabrication work in a team setting.

Qualified candidates have 2–3 years of welding experience, a D3 diploma, and certified welding permissions (3G) with BNSP/Freeport. Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW/FCAW is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Diploma 3 (D3) in any major.
• Certification: certified welder with minimum 3G qualification.
• Certification: welding certification issued by BNSP or Freeport.
• Experience: 2–3 years as a welder on industrial/construction projects.
• Technical: proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW/FCAW and able to operate a cutting torch.
• Reading: able to read and interpret welding drawings and specs.
• Codes: knowledge of welding codes (ASME, AWS) a plus.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are seeking local Workshop Worker for LIP branch, to process and distribute parts to internal customers. This a full-time position Monday to Saturday Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will aid in the day-to-day operations and activities by picking and delivery spare parts to the various working areas of the workshop. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment with routine supervision and be able to understand detailed instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding activities using approved welding processes and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical and welding drawings accurately.
• Execute welding in all required positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
• Operate cutting torch and related fabrication tools safely.
• Ensure welding work complies with applicable welding codes and standards.
• Maintain quality, safety, and housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Willing to work in different areas and job assignments as required by operations.

Position Requirements

Education

Minimum Diploma 3 (D3) (any major).

Certification

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years proven experience as a Welder in:
