Job summary

Sandvik AB in Timika, Indonesia is seeking a local Workshop Worker to support the workshop by welding and distributing parts to internal customers. This full-time role requires performing welding tasks and reading drawings under routine supervision.

You will report to the Workshop Manager, welding in all required positions, operating the cutting torch, and ensuring compliance with welding codes, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards while being flexible for different assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma 3 (D3) in any major.
• Certified welder with minimum 3G qualification.
• Valid welding certification issued by BNSP / Freeport.
• Minimum 2–3 years proven welding experience in construction or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding activities using approved welding processes and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical and welding drawings accurately.
• Execute welding in all required positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
• Operate cutting torch and related fabrication tools safely.

Job description

We are seeking local Workshop Worker for LIP branch, to process and distribute parts to internal customers. This a full-time position Monday to Saturday

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will aid in the day-to-day operations and activities by picking and delivery spare parts to the various working areas of the workshop. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment with routine supervision and be able to understand detailed instructions.

Position Requirements

Education

• Construction projects
• Manufacturing projects

Technical Skills

• Ability to perform welding in all positions.
