Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Construction de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Welder for our Timika, Papua, Indonesia operations. This full-time position requires performing welding tasks across multiple projects, following approved processes and drawings.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma 3 (D3) plus a 3G welding certification and 2–3 years of relevant experience in industrial or construction settings. Willingness to work across different areas is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma 3 (D3) in any major.
• Certified welder with minimum 3G qualification.
• Valid welding certification issued by BNSP / Freeport.
• 2–3 years proven experience in industrial/construction/manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using approved processes and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical and welding drawings.
• Weld in all required positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
• Operate cutting torch safely.

The Role

We are seeking local Workshop Worker for LIP branch, to process and distribute parts to internal customers. This a full-time position Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities

• - Perform welding activities using approved welding processes and procedures.
• - Read and interpret technical and welding drawings accurately.
• - Execute welding in all required positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
• - Operate cutting torch and related fabrication tools safely.
• - Ensure welding work complies with applicable welding codes and standards.
• - Maintain quality, safety, and housekeeping standards in the work area.
• - Willing to work in different areas and job assignments as required by operations.

Position Requirements

Education

• - Minimum Diploma 3 (D3) (any major).

Certification

• - Certified welder with minimum 3G qualification.
• - Valid welding certification issued by BNSP / Freeport.

Experience

• - Minimum 2–3 years proven experience as a Welder in:
• - Industrial projects
• - Construction projects
• - Manufacturing projects

Technical Skills

• - Proficient in welding processes:
• - SMAW
• - GTAW
• - GMAW / FCAW
• - Able to operate cutting torch.
• - Skilled in reading and interpreting technical and welding drawings.
• - Ability to perform welding in all positions.
