Job summary

Daikin Industries Indonesia is seeking a technically skilled professional to manage and optimize Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations. The role requires a strong foundation in water chemistry, treatment processes, and lab data interpretation.

You will monitor quality, lead maintenance, develop SOPs, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with Production, EHS, and Utility teams. Shift flexibility is required to meet plant needs.

Qualifications

• D3 in Chemistry required; degrees in Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clean water treatment, industrial wastewater management, or plant utilities.
• Understand WTP/WWTP processes and water chemistry; know chemical dosing stoichiometry.
• Able to interpret laboratory data and process trends for optimization.
• Familiar with water quality standards and safety practices.
• Proficient in basic instrumentation; SCADA/DCS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and/or WWTP to ensure water quality meets standards.
• Optimize treatment processes including coagulation-flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and advanced treatment (RO/UF).
• Monitor water quality parameters and prepare regular reports.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for equipment.
• Develop SOPs, conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting to authorities.
• Coordinate with Production, EHS, Utility to support water availability and wastewater management.
• Guide and train operators on safety, 5S, and operational compliance.
