Job summary

Plan International Indonesia is seeking a Program Communication Specialist to support community engagement, hygiene promotion and social and behaviour change activities across three targeted districts in NTT. You will report to the Head of Brand & Strategic Communication and work with communities, schools, health facilities, local government, and youth groups to promote inclusive WASH practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, international development, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in communications and campaign management for multi-country programs, preferably with INGOs, UN agencies, or social impact organizations.
• Strong content creation skills including writing, storytelling, and multimedia content development (video, infographics, photography)
• Experience managing influencer partnerships and social media campaigns targeting communities audiences
• Practical experience developing community-level social and behavior change communication, preference focused on public health, WASH
• Proven track record of designing and implementing awareness campaigns reaching large audiences (hundreds of thousands or millions)
• Excellent writing skills in English with ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills for working across cultures and time zones

Responsibilities

• Translate technical climate-resilient WASH milestones into compelling, ethical and evidence-based impact narratives that resonate with communities, public, media and policy makers.
• Ensure full compliance with branding guidelines across all communications and donor procedures.
• Design and implement multi-channel SBCC campaigns promoting hygiene practices in schools and communities.
• Capture and package program learning, evidence, and assets to support sub-national reporting.
