Business Function

DBSI T&O is the backbone that supports the bank as the central of operations and technology. With the spirit of OneTeam and PRIDE! Value, we serve Institutional Banking Operations and Consumer Banking Operations, manage Customer Centre and IT, provide Group Procurement and Corporate Real Estate, coordinate bank-wide Business Continuity Management program and framework, and deliver service quality for Digibank and IBG/GTS. Our Technology & Operations organization is a vital strategic partner to the business in providing competitive advantage that propels DBSI towards being the Best Bank for a Better World (#B3W).

Responsibility
  • Responsible for the correctness and completeness of the client services and corporate action activities in accordance with SOP (Standard Operations Procedure), Bank Procedures, Group Guidelines ie. CSA etc and Regulatory Guidelines
  • Monitoring, in Coaching and supervising all staff in Client Services and Corporate Action
  • Ensure process and monitor all mandatory CA event such as AGM/EGM, interest, redemption, amortization, cash/stock dividend, bonus, stock split/reverse stock split etc from announcement up to disbursement.
  • Ensure process and monitor for all voluntary CA event such as rights issue, warrants, tender offer, dividend with option etc from announcement up to disbursement
  • Supervising for all incoming and outgoing funds related to Corporate Action and ensure reported properly and on timely manner.
  • Ensure documents have been file systematically and original documents are only accessible to authorized staff members.
  • Rreview staff’s job description, responsibilities and performances
  • Motivate, coach and train staff to build up an efficient, knowledgeable, solid teamwork and ensure improvement in competencies and manage out poor performances
  • Conduct review of standard process model for your area half yearly (or earlier, if warranted). Review and ensure documentation of a robust BCP/DRP and test minimum once a year under DBSI plan and achieve a satisfactory result.
  • Conduct formal quarterly meeting (in accordance to bank directions) with business partners, and associated BU/SU’s to discuss quality achievements, business volumes and sales/product plans to anticipate and proactively support growth forecasts. Ensure all product launches are supported within time and cost budgets.
  • Special assignment as IBGO AML Champion for Securities and Fiduciary Services Operation through Internal Memorandum issued and signed by Head of Custody and/or Head of IBGO.
  • Manage the operational process in Client Services and Corporate Action
  • Timely escape of unit issue to Head of Custody or higher management
Requirements
  • Have sufficient knowledge on Custody Operations, Capital Market and Banking Regulations
  • Have minimum 5 years working experience
  • Preferably have banking knowledge/support banking industry
