Job summary

Rich Products Corporation is seeking a dynamic Utility Maintenance Technician - Basic to join its global team. This role focuses on maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting safety and GMP programs across the facility.

The candidate should bring hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration equipment and strong problem-solving skills, enabling reliable equipment performance and uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• Min. Senior High School or Vocational School diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Automation Control or Mechatronics with 3+ years in hands-on maintenance of industrial ammonia refrigeration.
• Experience with vacuum systems, screw compressors, blast freezers, storage freezers, condensers and chilled water cooling systems.
• Familiar with Johnson Control, York or Danfoss refrigeration systems is a plus; electrical, pipe fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience is valued.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures and repair them.
• Maintain preventive maintenance program for all Utility equipment.
• Assist with refrigeration/freezer repairs as needed.
• Keep logs on operating results and problems; inspect equipment regularly.
• Read manuals and diagrams to ensure proper operation and repair of equipment.
• Order parts and supplies to maintain equipment; ensure GMP and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety guidelines and PPE usage.
• Support food safety quality programs and safety rules.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Engineering & Project Manager, you will responsible to provide value added service to our customers and to promote sales and to cement business-partner relationship with our customers.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Trouble shooting and diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical failures.
• Assures preventive maintenance program is conducted on all Utility equipment
• Aid with refrigeration/freezer repair
• Keeping logs and other information on operating results and problems
• Inspecting equipment by sight and sound, and reading gauges and other measuring devices on a routine basis to assure optimum operating condition
• Reading equipment manuals, blueprints, and other sources of information to build knowledge and assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment
• Ordering parts and supplies to maintain Utility equipment
• Maintaining all work areas in a clean manner in line with plant requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Applies all safe work practices and uses all personal safety equipment required in performing tasks to assure his/her own safety and that of co-workers; always works in a safe manner; performs tasks within guidelines of good maintenance techniques and applicable codes.
• Observes all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment
• Implement and support food safety quality program (GMP, HACCP, practice sanitation standards)

Requirements:

• Min. Senior High School or Vocational School diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Automation Control or Mechatronics plus 3+ years in "hands-on" experience maintaining an industrial ammonia refrigeration system,
• including vacuum systems, screw compressors, blast freezers, storage freezers, condensers and
• chilled water-cooling systems required; experience in maintaining Johnson Control, York and
• Danfoss brand refrigeration system highly desired; electrical, pipe fitting, hydraulics, and
• pneumatics experience in the course of mechanical experience desired.
• Computer literate and proficient in Ms. Office
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of qualifications in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
