Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of construction experience in utilities/piping infrastructure.
• Strong experience with HDPE piping and pipe networks.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and construction specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction of utility infrastructure, including HDPE piping, pipe networks, and water treatment systems.

• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specs, method statements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, subcontractors, consultants, and other construction teams for smooth project execution.

• Resolve technical issues related to HDPE piping, pipe networks, connections/jointing, testing, and utility systems.
• Ensure inspection, testing, documentation, and as-built records for completed utility works.
• Identify construction risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and rework.

Job description

• Lead and supervise the construction of utility infrastructure, particularly HDPE piping, pipe networks, and water treatment (WT) systems.
• Manage construction activities from site preparation, installation, testing, commissioning, through to project handover.
• Ensure piping network works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, subcontractors, consultants, and other construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity to achieve project targets.
• Review and resolve technical issues related to HDPE piping, pipe networks, connections/jointing, pressure testing, and utility systems.
• Ensure proper inspection, testing, documentation, and as-built records for completed utility works.
• Identify construction risks and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize delays and rework.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of construction experience, with significant exposure to utilities/piping infrastructure.
• Strong experience in HDPE piping and pipe network installation.
• Experience in water treatment / water supply / wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
• Experience managing contractors/subcontractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and construction specifications.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
• Willing to be site-based / assigned to project locations.
