Job summary

PT China Taiping Insurance Indonesia is seeking an experienced General Insurance Underwriter to manage underwriting activities, lead the team, and support the Head of Department in Jakarta.

The role focuses on risk assessment, pricing, and policy placement, with emphasis on improving portfolio performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering monthly and annual reports to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any major, preferably Insurance, Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in General Insurance underwriting.
• Experience in team supervision or leadership is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting, risk assessment, and policy placement.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Good reporting and data analysis skills.
• AAIK/AAAIK certification will be an advantage.
• Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Department in monitoring departmental performance and other underwriting-related matters.
