Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking experienced Underground Jumbo Operators for the Freeport Indonesia Project in Central Papua. The role offers flights from the hire point to site with an 8/4 or 6/3 roster and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include drilling, bolting, ground support, and safety-focused operations in a high-speed development environment. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and relevant RPLs/VOCs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Underground Jumbos (preferably Sandvik D422i series).
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Copies of relevant RPLs or VOCs.
• Familiar with hard rock mining techniques.
• Be safety-focused and have a positive can-do attitude.
• Must have extensive experience in a high-speed development environment.
• Be highly driven to achieve project targets, safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Drilling and bolting of incline, decline, drift and mass excavation; primarily face drilling.
• Ground support, consisting of bolt and mesh.
• Identify and remedy misfires.
• Conduct prestart checks of equipment and drill site.
• Monitor and operate the drill rig control panel.
• Read and follow worksheets and drill patterns.
• Ensure that work is carried out through adherence to specifications, schedules, and standards.
• Training of national employees
