Job summary

PT Freeport Indonesia Inc. is seeking an Mine Underground - Engineer, GBC DPM & Dust to lead dust and DPM control in the GBC Mine. You will plan and implement sampling programs, design and assess control devices, and upgrade ventilation for safer operations.

The role requires a degree in Mining Engineering with practical UG ventilation experience and a focus on GOI air quality compliance. Join a large-scale mining operation focused on safe, healthy working conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ventilation theory and practices.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports and documentation.
• Experience with air quality monitoring and sampling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly dust and DPM sampling programs for the mine.
• Engineer and evaluate control devices to reduce dust sources and airborne particulates.
• Upgrade engines and install diesel particulate filters where feasible.
• Design water spray/mist systems and ensure proper water supply and filtration.
• Assess dust/DPM exposure monthly and track changes across areas.
• Coordinate with mine engineering and operations to communicate air quality plans and results.
• Prepare AFE for air quality projects and monitor ventilation capex quarterly.
• Forecast ventilation operating costs for ongoing projects.
• Develop ventilation models to predict exposure and guide reductions.
• Collaborate with Maintenance on pumps, piping and mist systems to ensure performance.
