Sekolah.mu in Jakarta seeks educators to teach overseas university preparation programs for students with diverse academic backgrounds, including STEM and non-STEM fields. You will cover personal statement writing, admissions interview prep, and study readiness.

You will develop personalized lesson plans, research current admissions requirements, assess progress, and provide mentoring to students and parents, aligning with Sekolah.mu’s guidelines and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree from an overseas university.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or supporting university admissions prep.
• Understanding of domestic and international admissions processes.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, able to work independently and in a team.

Description du poste

• Teach overseas university preparation programs for students from various academic backgrounds, covering both STEM and non-STEM fields, including personal statement writing, university and scholarship interview preparation, academic/creative writing, presentation skills, scholarship strategies, cultural adaptation, and study readiness.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and learning materials based on students’ academic backgrounds, needs, and study goals.
• Conduct research on university admissions and regularly update learning materials based on the latest admission requirements, education trends, and developments in both domestic and international higher education.
• Assess students’ academic work and learning progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to major/field recommendations during counseling sessions.
• Monitor and report students’ learning progress through regular documentation, learning reports, and communication with students and parents, while maintaining teaching quality in accordance with Siap Kuliah’s guidelines and SOPs.
• Provide consultation and academic mentoring to prospective and current students and parents regarding university preparation strategies, while actively participating in tutor development programs, program promotion, and other Siap Kuliah activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from an overseas university, preferably from a top university (top 10 in the relevant country), with a background in any academic field. Candidates with STEM backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply, including:
• Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry)
• Agriculture, Fisheries, or Food Science
• Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Marine, Biomedical, Environmental, Metallurgical, Geological Engineering, etc.)
• Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems
• Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computational Mathematics, and related fields
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or supporting students in university admissions preparation is preferred.
• Understanding of domestic and international university admissions processes, particularly for STEM-related fields, is highly desirable.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills, with attention to detail and an interest in conducting comprehensive research.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
