Insight Learning Centre in Batam is seeking a part-time, on-site Tutor to deliver lessons in Calistung, Mandarin, and international curriculum subjects according to our standards and plans.

You will prepare materials, conduct small group or one-on-one sessions, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to learners and families. Collaboration with fellow tutors ensures consistent teaching quality.

Formación

• Strong subject knowledge in Calistung, Mandarin, and international curriculum subjects.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring with lesson planning and assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners.
• Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered approach.
• Organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience in education or tutoring preferred; familiarity with international curricula is an advantage.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Tutor role based in Batam. The Tutor will deliver engaging lessons in Calistung, Mandarin, and/or international curriculum subjects according to the centre’s standards and lesson plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, conducting small group or one-on-one sessions, monitoring learner progress, and providing regular feedback to learners and families. The Tutor will assess learner performance, adjust teaching strategies as needed, and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves collaborating with other tutors and staff to ensure consistent teaching quality and alignment with the centre’s educational goals.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Calistung, Mandarin, and/or international curriculum subjects, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accurately.
• Demonstrated teaching or tutoring skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate with families and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered approach, with a commitment to creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment.
• Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple students, sessions, and administrative tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred; familiarity with international curricula is an advantage.
• Relevant educational background (e.g., education, language studies, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to work on-site in Batam during scheduled part-time hours and participate in training or meetings as needed.
