Job summary

You will coordinate servicing, monitor fleet performance, maintain records, train staff, and liaise with vendors to source parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma Degree in Technical, Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and repair.
• Commitment to health and safety guidelines.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the truck fleet, ensuring they are well-maintained and in optimal working condition
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize servicing and repairs
• Monitor the performance and utilization of trucks, and identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and maintenance regulations
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and services
• Provide training and supervision to the maintenance team, helping them develop their skills and expertise
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to truck maintenance activities
• Check the engine and oversee diagnostic tests
• Troubleshoot reported truck issues and resolve them in a timely manner
