About the role We are seeking a Transportation Manager to join JAPFA Food Indonesia in a full-time capacity, based in West Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in optimising our logistics operations and ensuring the efficient movement of goods across our supply chain. As Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all transportation activities, managing fleet operations, and ensuring cost-effective delivery solutions whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role is essential to our operations and directly impacts our ability to serve customers reliably and maintain our competitive edge in the food manufacturing and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and manage daily transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers and distribution centres
• Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance schedules, preventative repairs and adherence to safety standards and regulations
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate transportation and logistics staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and performance targets
• Monitor and analyse transportation costs, fuel consumption and route efficiency to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
• Prepare and present detailed transportation performance reports, including key metrics, KPIs and recommendations for optimisation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements
• Develop and implement transportation strategies and procedures to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction
• Manage relationships with external logistics partners, vendors and service providers to ensure service level agreements are met
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations and warehouse teams, to align transportation with business objectives

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transportation management, fleet management or logistics operations
• Proven track record in managing transportation budgets, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety compliance and environmental standards in Indonesia
• Demonstrated experience with transportation management systems and logistics software platforms
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
• Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience managing and developing teams
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of the food manufacturing and distribution industry is highly desirable
