Job summary

Shopee in Jakarta Utara is seeking a tax professional to manage direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing for the group. You will review tax returns, prepare tax documentation, and ensure compliance with tax regulations while coordinating with finance and business teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, at least 2 years in tax (Big 4 or multinational), strong technical knowledge, cross-border tax experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or multinational.
• Strong technical knowledge of direct/indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulations.
• Experience handling cross-border taxes and transfer pricing.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage projects independently.

• Responsible for the company's direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing matters
• Responsible for tax compliance and tax reporting of the group, including review or preparing tax returns, where appropriate
• Coordinate or prepare transfer pricing documentations for the group to ensure the compliance of transfer pricing regulations
• Assist with research and implementation of various tax initiatives which includes working closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that tax needs are identified, considered and communicated
• Manage tax audits with close collaboration with finance teams
• Participate in ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferably in a tax function in a Big 4 firm and/or relevant tax experience in a MNC
• Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulation
• Experience in handling cross-border taxes and transfer pricing
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Able to manage project independently
