PT Berkah Daya Alam is seeking a Staff Drafter to produce detailed shop drawings for furniture, interior, and construction projects. You will translate design briefs into executable drawings and coordinate with production teams to ensure accuracy.

Staff Drafter responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for furniture, interior, and construction projects. The role involves translating design briefs and visual references into executable technical drawings, coordinating with production teams, and managing design revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
Receive design briefs from sales/design team based on client needs and references
Create detailed shop drawings (dimensions, materials, joinery, finishing) for production team
Create basic 3D visualizations when required for client presentations
Revise drawings according to client requests or production team notes
Coordinate with Jepara and Bali production team to ensure drawings are executable within machine and craftsperson capacity
Archive all project drawings systematically and maintain clear revision history
Perform final quality checks on drawings before sending to production to prevent dimension/specification errors
About you
Minimum D3/S1 qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field
Minimum 1 year experience as drafter in furniture/interior/construction (fresh graduates with strong portfolio may be considered)
Portfolio of working drawings/shop drawings to present at interview
Proficient in SketchUp or similar 3D software for working drawings and basic visualization
Able to read and translate design/visual references (moodboards, sketches, Pinterest references) into executable technical drawings
Understanding of basic furniture construction (joinery types, material thickness, size tolerances)
Understanding of solid wood, plywood, and finishing characteristics to ensure drawings align with production capability
Meticulous attention to detail in dimensions — small drawing errors can result in material waste in production
Able to coordinate with production team for drawing clarification before execution
Able to coordinate with sales/design team regarding design revisions per client requests
Able to work with repeated revisions while maintaining previous technical details (organized version control)
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace for documentation and communication
Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple drawing projects simultaneously
Minimum passive English proficiency (to read international material references/catalogues)
