Job summary

Alpha JWC, a leading investment firm in Jakarta, seeks an Investment Analyst to support the full lifecycle from sourcing opportunities to closing transactions. You will analyze markets, evaluate tech-driven business models, and assist in portfolio development.

The role requires strong financial modelling, rigorous due diligence, and clear investment memos for the Investment Committee. English and Bahasa Indonesia fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in investment analysis, financial modelling, market research, and company evaluation.
• Meaningful exposure to AI through investing, working with an AI company, AI-related product or strategy work, technical projects, research, or professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify promising startups, founders, and investment opportunities globally.
• Conduct market research, sector mapping, and competitive analysis, particularly across technology and AI-related sectors.
• Evaluate potential investments based on founding team, market opportunity, business model, product, technology, traction, financial performance, and key risks.
• Conduct due diligence on prospective investments and assess technology contribution to product and defensibility.
• Build financial models, valuation scenarios, and potential investment-return cases.
• Prepare investment memos and recommendations for Investment Committee and support transaction execution.
