English 1 Indonesia is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers in classrooms and offsite activities. The role focuses on student safety, classroom management, and assisting with activities for 3–18 year olds.
You will help with transitions, supervise breaks, and ensure students follow centre policies. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, are energetic, patient, and detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and clean history.

The Teaching Assistant (TA) is part of the school teaching team, supporting the class teacher in the areas of classroom management, safety, assistance with activities, and general student care. The TA will have an important role in student safety, enforcing the EF Health and Safety procedures. The TA also maintains classroom discipline, by both following the teacher’s lead and maintaining the center’s classroom behaviour policies. The role involves participating in lesson activities by helping to demonstrate, and monitoring, guiding, and helping students during the activities.
The TA will be assigned primarily to Small Stars classes:
Small Stars Books 1 & 2
Small Stars any level where class size is >6
Small Stars any level where there are behavioural issues and additional assistance is needed with classroom management.
The TA may on occasion be assigned to a High Flyers or Trailblazers level where there is a specific need.
No set minimum or maximum hours.
Schedule is set in agreement with Senior Teaching Manager & Center Director
Onsite and offsite duties
The Teaching Assistant reports to the Senior Teaching Manager.
Enforce student safety procedures
Support teacher in class activities
Take students to the bathroom
Help teachers enforce their rules and classroom management systems
Help get new students used to our expectations of classroom behaviour
Monitor student safety and behaviour before and after classes and during breaks
Line students up and escort to and from classroom
Enjoy working with children
Have a positive attitude and positive body language
Patient, energetic, detail-oriented
Have a clean criminal history – Blue Card Required
Experience teaching students aged 3–18 years old
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
Professional, punctual, and detail-oriented
Customer service mindset and team-oriented attitude
